
Mr. Rowans has been a lecturer at the institution since 2007. He was elevated to the position of Vice-Principal in 2010, and became Principal in 2018. Mr. Rowans is also a qualified Attorney-at-Law, having been called to the Bar of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in 2009. Mr. Rowans holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of London. He also earned the Legal Education Certificate (LEC) from Hugh Wooding Law School, St. Augustine, Trinidad as well as a Master of Laws (LLM) Degree from the University of London. Mr. Rowans also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education from the University of London. He is currently pursuing in PhD in law with The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine.
Prior to his tenure at the institution, Mr. Rowans served as a teacher at Barrackpore West Secondary School. There he was awarded the Teacher’s Award after just one (1) year.
Mr. Rowans has obdurate passion and commitment to his students and the study of law. He is proactive, avant-garde and results-oriented. Undeniably, this has led to the huge successes enjoyed by students every year.
